A woman in the Njiru area was recently released on cash bail pending the hearing of a case in which she is accused of threatening to make her rival’s privates appear on her face over a lover.

The 38-year-old woman, Consolata Mueni Maingi, was accused of creating a disturbance in a manner likely to cause a breach of peace, contrary to the law, by uttering the words, “Nitakuroga nifanye sehemu yako ya siri ikuje kwa kichwa chako” to the complainant at Kayole Junction in Njiru, Nairobi, on May 31.

She is also said to have threatened to pour acid on the complainant on the same date.

According to the charges, the two women were working in the same company as conductors for a public service vehicles (PSV) company. Maingi said her colleague, who is the complainant, was secretly dating her boyfriend, something that did not go well with her.

She told the complainant she had visited a witchdoctor in Tala and was back to accomplish her mission of transferring the complainant’s private parts to her head while holding the other woman’s picture. These allegations scared the complainant, who hurriedly reported the matter to Kayole police station.

It was later revealed that the accused has a pending case before the Makadara law courts, where she had been charged with creating a disturbance against the same complainant after allegedly throwing rubbish at her doorstep.

When Maingi was presented in court, she denied the charges before Principal Magistrate Irene Gichobi, and she was released on a bond of Sh20,000 with a surety of a similar amount and an alternative cash bail of Sh10,000 pending the hearing on September 29.
